Privacy Policy

Our Core Promise

FrequencyDetector.com is built on a fundamental principle: your audio data never leaves your device. Every tool on this website processes audio entirely within your browser using JavaScript and the Web Audio API. We have no servers that receive, store, or process your audio data.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Audio recordings or microphone data
  • Personal information (name, email, phone)
  • Account credentials (no accounts exist)
  • Payment information (everything is free)
  • Location data
  • Device fingerprints

Microphone Access

Some tools request microphone access through your browser's standard permission prompt. When you grant access:

  • Audio is processed in real-time within your browser
  • No audio data is recorded, saved, or transmitted
  • You can revoke microphone access at any time through your browser settings
  • We use the Web Audio API — a secure, sandboxed browser technology

Local Storage

Some tools may use your browser's localStorage or sessionStorage to save preferences (such as last-used frequency or theme settings). This data:

  • Stays on your device only
  • Is never transmitted to any server
  • Can be cleared at any time via your browser settings

Cookies

FrequencyDetector.com does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any similar tracking service.

Third-Party Services

The only external resource loaded is Google Fonts (Orbitron, Share Tech Mono, Inter) for typography. Google's font service may log standard web request data (IP address, browser type) per their own privacy policy. No other third-party services are used.

Children's Privacy

FrequencyDetector.com does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since we collect no personal data from any user, this policy applies equally to all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Since we don't collect data, changes would only reflect new transparency commitments or legal requirements.
